Everyone prefers their chicken to be juicy and tender. We bring you the perfect brining recipe with minimum ingredients.

Directions

1
Done

Put 1 gallon warm temp (not hot) water in a large pot.

2
Done

Put kosher salt, brown sugar and Worcestershire sauce in it and mix until completely dissolved.

3
Done

Pour the mixture into Spackle bucket. Put one gallon of cold tap water into the bucket and mix. Put in ice to quickly drop the temperature and stir until the ice is completely dissolved.

4
Done

Immediately put the chicken in it and make sure it is completely submerged and that the chicken cavities are full. You can place a heavy ceramic bowl on the chicken to push it down, if it is floating.

5
Done

Cover the container and put in fridge. Alternatively you can put them in refrigerator bags and let them in fridge for 12 hours or so.

6
Done

Advice

1) Make sure chickens are completely cleaned prior to starting the brine process. Keep the birds fridge until right before putting in brine.

2) Since the above mix is over 2 1/2 gallons total (with dissolved ice) with 1 1/4 cups salt, you can keep it brining a little longer without going "oversalt".

3) Make sure to completely rinse off chicken in a sink, and pat dry before cooking.
